Apple always have rigid price controls over their products. Maybe they will loosen their grip over time and you might be able to grab a bargain but it's too hard to say.

However, now that we can finally purchase the iphone online and also buy iphone goodies galore, we can now see what all the fuss was about.

And being able to purchase it online means that we don't even have to trail into town for this most eagerly awaited of devices.

As usual, Apple has limited the number of outlets where you can buy the iPhone. Apple did this with the iPod but I'm sure they will loosen the reins sooner rather than later.

Also, their iphone price plans seem very rigid. However, the iphone sales figures seem healthy enough.

In the UK, O2 are the network carriers. Carphonewarehouse have got the exclusive rights as the independent high street distributor of the iPhone.

In the USA, it is the exclusive rights of AT&T to sell the iPhone. You can also buy via the Apple web site or high street store.
