The iPhone In Europe

Despite the hype surrounding the iPhone in Europe, Apple's bid to dominate the European mobile-phone market is up against some big-hitters.
The European market is dominated by local favourites Nokia and Sony Ericsson, who aggressively sell their own multimedia music phones.
European consumers are also used to 3G - something the iPhone doesn't offer yet - and have higher expectations for mobile phones than in the U.S.
However, no other phone on the market today has the iPhone's touch-screen technology and ease of use.
And with more than 1.4 million iPhones already sold in the U.S. the UK's O2 and Germany's T-Mobile have agreed exclusive deals to carry the iPhone on their networks.
There is no doubt that the iPhone is a great product. A large number of buyers will be drawn to Apple's simple operating system, which rolls services such as music, Internet, and phoning into an enjoyable experience.
More and more people are finding their phones to be puzzling with all the technology built into them.
But with Apple's easy-to-use layout the iPhone in Europe is destined for great success.
